My name is Marley. I’m a landscape artist, outdoor lover, and traveler.
I have been a full time artist since April of 2021.
Color, light, and my outdoor adventures are what inspires me most. I live in the highest city in North America, Leadville - located 10,200’ above sea level. We experience short and sweet summers that burst with wildflowers and color, and long winters with lots of sunshine. I’ve lived here for 8 years and I’m looking to expand my portfolio outside of this area.
I’m seeking new experiences to inspire my work. When I am traveling, it is usually with people and we are going from town to town. It’s hard to have downtime to create (even though these times are when I’m most inspired!). I want to have the chance to soak in my surroundings, not feel rushed around, and paint what is inspiring me. I want to watch the light and color move throughout the day, and explore mediums for in-depth.
My favorite media is watercolor and ink. I’ve been exploring acrylic and watercolor gouache recently (last couple slides).

First attempt at mixing these two mediums. Gouache and Acrylic on Canvas 2×4’ 2025.
Inspired by my colorful travels to Nepal. I loved all the bright handmade goods, and snow covered peaks. When I arrived back to the states I combined it with views in Leadville, and crochet blankets.

Before I was a full time artist, I was an outdoor photographer. These pieces are from my travels near and far, combined with my watercolor landscapes. It feels like I’m transporting myself back into these moments, wandering around with my friends, wrapped in colors, nothing to worry about. I would love to create more collages from my experiences.
